• Why do you want to become a GameMaster for OdysseyRP? (Explain your motivation and how you can enrich the server’s roleplay.) This server has recently and i would like to do events and such with the current playerbase that has just started growing

• What skills or qualities make you a good fit for a GameMaster role? (e.g., storytelling, creativity, knowledge of GMod tools, organization, etc.) I like writing story's and participating in events in other servers, i also i have knowledge about many SCPs and 1500 hours on Gmod

5. EVENT PLANNING

• Describe an example roleplay event or storyline you would create for OdysseyRP: (Include the theme, objectives, player involvement, and how it enhances roleplay.) The example event im going to use is for D-Class because they are what i most play. The event would be a D-Class riot event, how it would work is i would give the D-class a box that if they are able to get it outside of Dblock i would set up barricades around the outside of Dblock alloweing them to riot until foundation are able to get up to the barricades and take them down. This would allow GSD and MTF to work together to quell the riot if GSD are not able to. If the D-Class were able to push to surface it would give RP to the surface GOI's and foundation.

• How would you handle a situation where an event you’re running goes off track? (e.g., players derail the story or technical issues arise.) If the D-Class just dont get the box or get quelled fast it would be a sign that I would need to help the D-Class more if i did another riot event. In most the event i would think of there would be no set path for the story to go and the RP from the players would decide where it goes.

Assuming you meant to say something like: 'I have learned from the mistakes of OTHER server GMs and or what makes an event better then others with this.'

While this isn't an 'event', its more of an RP enhancement, I think you have the right spirit. Sometimes the best stuff isn't another Administrator and Resh-1 event, but an RP enhancement that gives the players some agency over what they do and what happens overall, such as letting D-Class build barricades in the right conditions. Heck you could even let them make boobytraps(if they RP doing so and or how), or have them set up barricades to prepare for a sweep of the CDC. 


Else then that, some of your reasonings are interesting at best and kind of weird at worst, such as Class-D getting to surface somehow giving other GOIs some RP?

I can see where you're going for with it, like Foundation and GOC might have a fight over the D-Class, but I don't think GOC would do much with them and would honestly just turn them in to Foundation custody after getting information from them(if possible anyways).

This is the single biggest rule of thumb for any good event. Player agency is extremely important, and keeping the GM tools or story telling to yourself is a big big red flag for me. Always make the event centered around the players, even if there's an event character or special individual(s) present that drive the event, what actions the players and non-event characters take should be the deciding factor for what happens.
