4. MOTIVATION AND SKILLS

  • Why do you want to join the OdysseyRP staff team? (Minimum 150 Words): I wish to join OdysseyRP due to the fact that it's a newer SCPRP server that needs moderation in my opinion. There are a lot of players that get away with things breaking server rules and or do not learn from their actions when they should be taken care of. Another reasoning I wish to join the staff team is because I want to help out as much as I can within the server as I have nothing else to do. I also plan to not only enforce the server rules but roleplay at a professional standard as staff are here to show immersion and help out newer players within the community when people ask questions about certain situations. I also wish to join because I was told by Chains I would probably fit as a staff member due to my previous experience. I plan to go above and beyond in all situations and always be fair within the staff team.

  • What skills or qualities make you a good fit for our staff team? (Minimum 150 Words): My skills and as to how or why I qualify for staff is that I go above and beyond in certain situations. What I mean by this is I will do not only the normal quota but I will be on the server showing my activity within the server and help out as much as I can within the server or discord when people ask questions and or are reporting other players. I am very professional with how I handle situations and I am not bias at all, I do not care if certain people are friends or not, that is not how staffing works. I am also a strict yet lenient member, I understand everyone makes mistakes and that is totally fine, however there is a fine limit between accidental and purposeful in their actions. I will ensure that players are being treated fairly equally by staff and other players alike. I also have previous experience staffing in GMOD for a few years such as ULX, SAM, and or custom commands that is issued in this server.

5. SCENARIO QUESTIONS (Provide detailed responses to the following scenarios)

  • Scenario 1: A player is breaking roleplay rules (e.g., FailRP) in a public area. How would you handle this? (Minimum 50 Words) : Type in .// and or PM the player regarding their rule breakage and issue a verbal warning. If it continues then I will bring them into a sit and talk to them one on one and tell them which rule they are violating and they need to cease immediately or they will be punished. If they still continue then I will issue a warning, kick and or ban depending the severity of the situation and how the punishment guidelines work in this server.

  • Scenario 2: Two players are in a heated OOC argument in chat about a rule violation. What steps would you take? (Minimum 50 Words) : Tell both players to cease immediately and take it to DMs. If they both continue then I will issue warnings and or mutes depending who continues and or depending the severity of the situation. OOC Toxicity will never be tolerated and I will not take situations like these lightly, Such as cross faction arguement. After I will rectify the situation and correct the players which ruling is correct and move on.

  • Scenario 3: A player reports another for suspected cheating (e.g., aimbot). How would you investigate and proceed? (Minimum 50 Words): If there is a screengrab system then I will utilize this command. If it is not then I will spectate the player and go into staff chat in-game regarding a flag on a certain player and send the SteamID as I and other staff members will keep an eye on the player. If they are deemed to be cheating and clearly are aimbotting then I will ask a superior staff member to issue the punishment. If they are deemed not guilty I will still keep an eye on them very closely.

6. AVAILABILITY

  • Weekly Availability: (Describe when you are typically available to moderate, e.g., weekdays, weekends, specific hours.) :  I am available whenever, I currently do not have a job as I am still hunting for one. I am available at anytime at anyday. If I do have a schedule change I will inform my superiors and or staff management regarding it.
